Program Content
AASECT wisely requires that everyone seeking certification understand research methods in the field of sexology. Whether you want to conduct research or be able to read and comprehend it so that you can apply what you've learned to your practice, this brief practical 2.5 CE course will  help.  Those of you who are very familiar with research methods may want to bypass the PowerPoint lecture and take the quiz directly.

Intended Audience
This course is recommended both as an introduction to the topic as well as an update for more experienced practitioners of sex and relationship therapy.

Course Objectives
As a result of taking this course, you will be able to:
1. Differentiate at least three major methods that are used in sexological research.
2. Distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of at least three major research methods.
3. Name at least three physiological measures of sexual function and describe their use.

Exam and Evaluation
You are required to take a 24-item exam to demonstrate that you read and understood the material; you have three tries to pass at 80% or better. Once you complete the course evaluation, you will be able to automatically download your certificate of completion.
