Content
This course provides an essential overview of Female Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder and Female Orgasm Disorder, which are the most common complaints that women make.  The course covers how to diagnose and treat both disorders using the most contemporary approaches including CBT and mindfulness.  The use of medications to increase desire is also addressed.  The course includes an overview lecture and several short articles by Dr. Stephanie Buehler.  An academic journal article on treating low sexual desire and another on women’s sexuality at midlife round out the course.  Patient handouts and resources are available for the enrollee’s use.

Course Objectives
As a result of taking this course, you will be able to:
1. Describe at least two approaches to treating Female Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder.
2. Describe at least two approaches to treating Female Orgasm Disorder.
3. Identify at least two considerations in the treatment of female sexual problems in women who identify as lesbian or bisexual.

For AASECT certification, these hours may count as the following:

You are required to take an exam to demonstrate that you read and understood the material. This course contains one exam and one evaluation. Program Content
About 40% of women will have a sexual problem during their lifetime (Laumann, 1999), with the most common issue being low sexual desire. In this course, you'll get an overview of Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder, Anorgasmia, and Genito-Pelvic Pain/Penetration Disorder. 
Course Objectives
As a result of taking this course, you will be able to:
1. Assess the symptoms of sexual dysfunctions including low sexual desire, problems with orgasm, and sexual pain in women.
2. Describe an evidence-based treatment plan for DSM-5 sexual dysfunctions in women
3. Identify goals of healthy sexuality in women and their partners
