Ok, really big news!
The Atlantic is a major monthly publication, with the first issue released over 162 years ago.
And now, I'm in it!
Staff writer for The Atlantic, Ashley Fetters, recently interviewed me about vulvodynia, a chronic pain condition that affects the female genitalia, often making sex extraordinarily painful. It was a wonderful interview where we touched on many topics that are important to me, along with women everywhere. We go into how treatment for vulvodynia works and what can be done to help with the resulting intimacy issues.
The article doesn't only feature me. It also shines a spotlight on some of the women who have dealt with it every day, along with a history of the condition and its misdiagnosis throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
I don't want to spoil too much, but honestly, I think that it will speak to countless women who may finally get the medical help they need! Ashley did an absolutely fabulous job with the article, and I can't wait for you to read it!
